Provide EcoVadis rating improvement services for a leading new energy battery enterprise
The client scored 33 points in its internal EcoVadis self-assessment. Lacking relevant project experience and technical support, it hopes to leverage external expert insights to reinterpret and organize each evaluation indicator, resubmit the assessment based on its current conditions, and receive a customized improvement plan that will serve as a foundation for its long-term sustainable development roadmap.
During project implementation, we helped the client fully grasp EcoVadis’s assessment requirements and eliminate non-compliant documents, including issues such as 1) improper release formats; 2) expired timeliness; 3) missing clauses; 4) irrelevant responses. We then assisted the client in re-collecting data and completing the official submission. The client achieved a 7-point score increase, fulfilling the expected objectives of the pilot project.

Customer Requirements
The client is a professional manufacturer of tire reinforcement materials and a global leader in the bead wire sector. It is confronted with requirements from international customers regarding climate-related disclosure and product carbon footprint calculation.
Work achievements
- CDP Questionnaire Coaching: Deliver training on CDP questionnaire knowledge, customize a CDP filling scheme, and identify gaps between the enterprise’s performance and industry best practices through pre-scoring. Support Zhenjiang Xianfeng in optimizing response strategies, boost scores item by item based on scoring criteria, and achieve an upgraded CDP rating;
- Baseline Calculation: This includes collecting activity data for Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and computing emissions to identify major emission sources. Focusing on the client’s priority concerns, we prioritize greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Category 1 of Scope 3, namely Purchased Goods and Services. In line with the international GHG Protocol standard, we quantify upstream GHG emissions for virgin steel and recycled steel separately;
- Product Carbon Footprint (PCF): Deliver relevant knowledge training, adopt assessment standards as required by international clients to conduct PCF calculations for core products. Evaluate emission reductions brought by recycled steel used in product raw materials, helping the client fully tap into the sustainable value of its products.
